We are two days away from Thanksgiving. This week is a time of feasting and recalling what we are thankful for. Usually I would be gathering around the table with my mom and siblings, saying what we are thankful for and praising God for everything he has given us. But, my mom decided to leave town this Thanksgiving. Which also means I am running around trying to cook Thanksgiving food for the first time ever. And to add on to that trying to make everything vegan and gluten free. Learning is what I am doing. Learning and snacking on the food while I make it.
Since we aren't gathering as a family, I'm just going to pretend like you all are around my table.
Sometimes it's easier for me to see the hard things and the not so pretty struggles. In completely honesty, this past year has been great, but very difficult. I know that joy through trails brings steadfastness, so I am continually trying to praise my King for all that he gives me. It's easy to want security, the next best thing, or stability. But what's beautiful is wanting what Christ wants for your life. Wanting Christ above all! So, this Thanksgiving I want to thank him for the little things!
I am thankful for:
- God always having my best in mind
- the discipline that the Lord gives
- a husband that loves me
- being able to work with my best friend
- two ADORABLE puppies that melt my heart daily
- our camera gear
- WONDERFUL clients
- a great church
- a roof over my head
- not knowing what its like to truly go hungry
- the experiences God has allowed us to have
- the HOPES and DREAMS still alive within me
Recently my friend posted a quote, and it has been running through my mind a lot. I want it to be an anthem!
